Stakeholders and employers attended the official launch of the new and refurbished training suites at our Lime Street offices recently.
Representatives from the Learning and Skills Council, Connexions, Liverpool City Council, Quality Improvement Agency, NatWest Bank and the Greater Merseyside Learning Providers Federation were just some of the key organisations in attendance at the launch.
Many link and support agencies, training providers and Merseyside employers were also present for the celebration and short presentation by Director Brian Quinn.
Marking the start of the Company's eigth year in business; Brian, acknowledged and thanked the many people present for the part their companies had played in Training Plus' successful journey.
Special thanks from the Directors Board were extended to Rob Grace and Angela Moretta (Natwest Bank) for believing in the Company's vision; Tim Bold from Software Generation for supporting the development of state of the art technology for learners; Pavlina Kiakides and Chris Williams (Pharos Design) for their respective work on Marketing, Corporate Identity and web presence, John Murphy for buildings refurbishmment and Adult Dyslexia Access for supporting important equality and dyslexia strategies within the company's work with learners.
The launch ended on a high
with a review of key successes over the last seven years; these included high success rates for learners, improving quality standards, high staff ratios & retention and a significant £85k re-investment in resources and technology. The acquisition of 66 Lime Street (the building adjascent to the current offices) the day before the launch, was the closing 'hot news statement' .
The expansion into the 'fit for purpose' adjoining premises and additional services was described by the Directors Board as "...something the company has held off, until a time when our core specialisms are totally reliable and as such support the opportunity for a strategic diversification in services. This is exemplified by our involvement and delivery of the Society Health & Development Diploma with Liverpool schools from September 08".
