In a month when the Equality Bill received Royal Assent and became the Equality Act 2010, tpm celebrate 14 staff who recently achieved the EDI Equality and Diversity Level 2 Award as part of the tpm Continuous Professional Development programme for all employees. Some of the staff are pictured here at a presentation of their certificates during a Company meeting on 16th April.
The Equality & Diversity Level 2 Award; a new qualification offered by EDI since February 2009 and collaboratively developed with tpm, is comprised of one Unit at Level 2 and fully accredited on the Qualification Credit Framework.
Brian Quinn, Director and Equal Opportunities co-ordinator at tpm who developed the course with EDI and presented the awards said: 'We are especially proud of the fact that these 14 staff achievements mean that in just over a year all Company staff have achieved the new equality and diversity award standard. I am very proud of our staff and grateful to them and EDI for working with us to get to this celebratory milestone'.
The Government Equalities Office has produced an excellent 'Easy Read Briefing' on the Equality Bill.
