My job is Lead Assessor. I have worked for Training Plus merseyside for four years and my main responsibilities include maintaining a clear working understanding of the national NVQ standards, and guiding and assessing students accordingly so they achieve their qualifications. I support new assessment staff with their assessment practice and in guiding students with additional learning needs. What I am most passionate about in my job is enabling my students to realise their career aspirations and become competent, confident nursery assistants.
My qualifications include: Internal Verifiers Award (V1),Assessors Award (A1), BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies, CCLD Technical Certificate, Customer Service Level 3 and ECDL. Training Plus Merseyside has sponsored many of these for me. I have nine years work experience in private day nurseries and pre-school. Before coming to Training Plus merseyside I was a deputy nursery manager.
I believe the standard of service provided to students and employers by Training Plus merseyside is outstanding. Clients always get good quality information, advice, guidance and support. Employers value the company’s high achievement rates and its good Ofsted reports.
What I most value about Training Plus merseyside is the level of support available for everyone and how we work together as a team - I have never experienced a company like it. It has a real passion for helping both staff and students achieve. This is underpinned by a strong commitment to equality and diversity. It’s a very welcoming environment that emphasises quality, professional development and personal growth.
Three words that describe Training Plus merseyside for me are: support, teamwork and people-development.
