I’ve worked at tpm for almost seven years, firstly as an assessor, then as an internal verifier and I’m now Learner Support Manager. My job involves managing the organisation’s learner support processes which include ALSN procedures, Key Skills, and the development of functional skills and learner support strategies. I also ensure learners are safeguarded and that their diverse needs are equally but individually met. I am passionate about making things happen and providing excellent customer service including supporting learners to overcome barriers to learning. I really value my job at tpm because they are committed to providing quality training services to learners of varying ability.
Before coming to tpm, I worked with children in a wide range of environments: ski clubs, crèches, kids clubs. I already had an NVQ level 3 in early years care and education when I joined tpm but since then I have gained numerous qualifications including NVQ L4 in management, PTLLS, A1, V1, K/S Maths (AON), English (Com) and ICT at L2, E&D L2, ECDL CCLD Tech Cert L3. I have also undertaken various key skills courses and awareness raising sessions in fields such as welcoming disabled people, dyslexia awareness and mental health awareness.
tpm is a very supportive company to work for and this support has enabled me to progress within the organisation. Staff members are developed both as employees and as people and in turn this means learners get the best quality service.
