I am a 20-year-old office manager at Liverpool Coaching Academy where I have worked since I left school. I always wanted to work in a busy office environment but left school with low GCSE grades. I contacted Training Plus Merseyside and was surprised at the amount of learning support they had to help me develop my career prospects and skills in business and administration.

In my first job at Liverpool Coaching Company I successfully completed a level 2 apprenticeship withthe help of Training Plus Merseyside. I’ve now been promoted and am working towards my level 3 advanced apprenticeship in business and administration.

My work is exciting and rewarding. I’m responsible for two staff and the general running of the office administration. I enjoy building rapport with clients and taking care of their needs. As a result of my work and training, I’ve developed great telephone, computer and interpersonal skills, and built up knowledge and understanding.

I would recommend Training Plus merseyside to anyone interested in office work. They’ve been great with me, offering loads of help and encouragement. I could not have achieved my level 2 apprenticeship or my job promotion without the support from my trainers and assessor. It’s hard work but it’s worth it.
